When The Beatles first came to America, their first performance was in Washington DC. They performed at what was called the Washington Coliseum, which was located in the heart of Swampoodle. They arrived on Train from New York to Union Station. This was a big deal. Union Station and Swampoodle both lent themselves to big events both in the political world, but also in the pop culture world.
